Hello,

the aim of this post is to collect all your suggestions about which new online services we could include in Open IT Online.

I'd love to be able to open docx or doc documents in Buzzword and ppt documents in Sliderocket. Would it be hard to add these services?

I would like to be able to add my own entries. For instance: handle extrension XXX with url AAA.BBB.CCCC/ddd/eee/fff

It would be nice if you can import such a setting into the openitonline plugin with a configuration file. It would make it easier for site owners to use the plugin for their own site. They can create a simple setup for users (click here, click there, ready to go).

I noticed you offered support for picnik in version 1.4, and since you offered support for image editors, I thought It'd be great if you offered support for Aviary (http://a.viary.com). I know I would greatly appreciate it and so would others. Thank you and keep up the great work! :)

I'd also really like to see this feature, it'd be far more useful than the current hardcoded list of sites. I have my own internal websites that I'd like to use.

The best feature is one that gives independence for people to save their files where they choose. It is not understandable why we do not have the possibility to save files on our domains. Only on Boxnet! Why?!

Can we hope to able to it in the future, please? I would like to know.

What do you mean to save the files on your domains? You can save them to your disk of course. How would you suggest to save them to your domain? The only way I can see is a kind of FTP upload but this is a bit out of the Open IT Online space.

Cheers,

Hello Denis,

I am so sorry if my question/proposal was not enough clear, even if I tried to make it understandable.

By "domain" I was thinking of an internet/web domain or site. With the otherwise excellent Open It Online we can save files on the web, but on the Boxnet site alone. We cannot set the URL for the place where we would like to save the files. I am sure that everyone having an internet domain / web site would choose to save their files there and not on Boxnet.

I hope I have made it clear now. Well, English is not my mother tongue, so I often make mistakes, sorry. Thank you.

Open IT Online really is an excellent product. Now that the Microsoft Office Live online service is in production, is there any plan to add support for it? It would be nice to have the MS Office and Skydrive alternatives to Google Docs and Box.net.

We are looking into it but apparently MS does not provide any API to use Office Live online :-(
