We have recently discovered, thanks to the feedback received from our users, that some users are getting an error when they choose to open their document with Open IT Online (selecting the relative radio box in the Firefox "save as" dialog). The error message displayed is something similar to: "$Path_in_windows_temp_folder$/document_downloaded.ext could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences."After some investigation, we have found out that this is due to a conflict between Open IT Online and FavLoc, another Firefox extension. We have contacted the FavLoc developer but it seems he does not have time to fix the problem, hence we have decided to fix ourselves the problem releasing a patched version of FavLoc 1.1 hosted on our server (click here to download it). If you don't want to install the patched version hosted on our server, you can still solve the problem removing FavLoc radio box from the "save as" dialog: to do this, you need to go in FavLoc options, then in the "Settings" tab and uncheck the option "Download Prompt". |
